Here I sit in the lobby of a Marriott Resident's Inn. . . . This move has not gone as planned.
ACK!!! This just in! Jenna and Javi's flight from New Mexico to Nevada has been cancelled! I'm waiting for more information right now.
Ugh. . . . anyway! On our drive to this beautiful country, we lost a WHEEL off of our Uhaul as we where going down a busy, rainy, narrow highway. Ian heard a weird noise and then looked in his side-view mirror and said "there goes our tire". . . at that time we did not know that it was our entire wheel sans the lugnuts that went flying off the trailer, over two fences, into someone's backyard and parked itself under their tree. Due to the barbed wire, Ian was not about to retrieve it.
Skipping ahead. . . we are going to unload our trailer tomorrow in our "new home" and then hopefully have a truck full of our household goods delivered as early as Monday. Oh, wouldn't that be nice, something go as kinda planned!?
The ladies at the awesome library were wonderful enough to let us have temporary cards, allowing us to have 2 items each. . . once full-fledged members. . . wait for it. . . 99 items each!! Who needs that many books? It is such an awesome, technically advanced library, to check out books, you scan your card and place up to 5 books on the counter. . . it reads them and checks them out for you! So cool! And because it is such a small library, they only keep the newest books on hand! Couldn't ask for more in a library!!!
I'm missing my friends and just being able to run down the road for a quick meeting and letting our kids hang out. I definitely DON'T miss the heat.
Ok, kids' flight has been rescheduled and they will be getting in Las Vegas at 5:05 tonight. Not sure what happened, but I am sure I will hear all about it.
